Medical Assisting students receive training in the clinical and administrative sides of a medical office. Concentrated courses in pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, and medical laboratory procedures prepare students to begin a career as a medical assistant. Fox College students learn in classrooms designed to simulate a functional medical office, including commonly found equipment.

Program Highlights

8 week externship in a medical setting. Accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Graduates can take the National Certification Examination to become a Certified Medical Assistant.

Physical therapist assistants work under the supervision of a therapist and will implement treatment plans to help get patients back to optimal physical health. Fox College’s program includes courses in kinesiology, therapeutic intervention, manual techniques, and licensure exam preparation.

At the Vet Tech Institute at Fox College, vet techs are trained to work under the supervision of a veterinarian and can perform a variety of important procedures, like taking x-rays, running lab tests, administering vaccines, performing dental work, assisting in surgery and counseling owners on follow-up care.  Students have access to an on-site kennel , surgical suites, industry standard equipment, and on-staff veterinarians.

The Veterinary Technician program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA).

Program Highlights

A variety of on-site animals to provide hands-on training. Concentration in animal anatomy and physiology, anesthesia, and a large animal practicum. Externship experience to apply classroom knowledge.
